Consulting Occupational Therapist

How Can OT Consulting Support
My Family or Business?
My goal is to help parents, caregivers, educators, and healthcare providers learn effective ways to support children with autism, sensory processing differences, and developmental disabilities across all settings, including home, school or daycare, medical appointments, and the broader community.

Learning and utilizing successful strategies across all environments benefits the child and improves overall outcomes by improving skills and participation while reducing stress and meltdowns.
I earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University in 2007 and am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Along with my work as an occupational therapy consultant, I serve as a university instructor, homeschool educator, and proud mother of two daughters, one of whom has multiple disabilities, including autism.

My personal and professional experiences have shaped my deep passion for helping adults navigate the challenges and celebrate the strengths that come with neurodiversity and disability. As a dedicated disability advocate, I wrote a children's book to educate about disabilities and inclusion and serve as the Executive Director of Disability Book Week, a global, all-volunteer organization that promotes and celebrates disability-inclusive literature.

I currently live in Sycamore, Illinois, where I continue to work toward creating more understanding, inclusive, and supportive communities for all children.
